Currently reading 26th June 2017

Happy Monday 🙂

So I’ve decided to start doing another meme on a Monday called currently reading, I will try my very best to make it every week ( no promises )

I’m currently reading when Dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon, I’ve seen alot of great reviews on Dimple met Rishi, I’m only 70% into the book and already really enjoying it.

Book description-

Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?

Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.

The Shahs and Patels didn’t mean to start turning the wheels on this “suggested arrangement” so early in their children’s lives, but when they noticed them both gravitate toward the same summer program, they figured, Why not?

Dimple and Rishi may think they have each other figured out. But when opposites clash, love works hard to prove itself in the most unexpected ways.

So that’s what I’m currently reading, I’m so glad I got accepted off netgalley to read and review when Dimple met Rishi.
What are you currently reading?

  1. I hope you enjoy Dimple and Rishi. I sadly didn’t … but I am a contemporary hater by nature I think 😦

I am currently listening to Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab. The audio for this series is crazy good!

      1. Oh no? Where are you looking? I had to get it through audible because my library didn’t add it to Overdrive. (of course then my library added it after I already purchased it through audible lol)

      2. Well, in case you can’t find it at all. Here is a list of my favorite audio readings in YA fantasy mostly.

Red Rising series by Pierce Brown – a little on the brutal side. War and killing and space and deep messages. The audio on this series is EPIC!

The Lunar Chronicles – I love this series SO MUCH and the audio really does a great job of adding another level of enjoyment!

Daughter of Smoke and Bone – again, a great series with great narrator performance in the audiobooks

Monsters of Verity – Of course the one you are looking for. I hope you can find it and enjoy it.

Those are my top recs for audio. I have listened to a lot of contemporaries too .. but I just don’t love them as much and havn’t come across any where I felt like the audio really added to the story.
